Our Team

My name is John W. Kozina and I am a lawyer in Lac La Biche, Alberta.

In 1976 I started my law practice in Lac La Biche in the same building that I still occupy today.

I am a General Practitioner, a “Country Lawyer”, with experience in most areas of law including wills and estates, real estate conveyancing, immigration, criminal law, family law, personal injury law, civil litigation, corporate and commercial law together with hotel purchase and financing, amalgamations, extra provincial registrations, Unanimous Shareholder Agreements, and Section 86 Income Tax Act Rollover Agreements.

I have argued in the Provincial Court of Alberta, in the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta, as well as in the Court of Appeal of Alberta.  I have made Submissions with the permission of the Court in the Orleans County Courthouse in Vermont, United States of America.  I have argued in the former District Court of Alberta, and the former Supreme Court of Alberta in the 1970’s before these two courts were merged into the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta.
